When you list your products on Amazon, how can you customize the SKU?
It’s simple to change the SKU of your Amazon products; just follow these steps:
1. Go to Inventory > Manage Inventory in Seller Central after logging in. (Click the Plus icon within this window to create a new product.)
2. Click Choose a Product Identifier Type on the left side of the screen under ‘Add/Edit Product,’ then select your identifier type.
3. Fill in the appropriate abbreviations for your product.
4. To finish your product identification, click Save & Finish at the bottom of the window.
It is important to keep in mind that SKUs can only be customized for new listings. A SKU for a listing that has already been created cannot be changed. You may choose not to have a personalized SKU because Amazon will produce one for you automatically. Having customized SKUs, on the other hand, can make a significant impact in the way you keep track of information for your company.
