Cornwall – Further Exploring. | Barely There Beauty

Cornwall-Eden-Project

I’m going to smoosh the rest of our Cornish trip into this post, as it was to largely consist of a little daytime exploration before wiling away our evenings in the hottub. Rinse and repeat.

Our mornings often started lazy and sunlit with fresh toast (a mere vehicle for butter).

Our days filled with different iterations of a sea view.

Cornwall-ice-cream

One
particular afternoon we headed into Falmouth to fill our hands with
local produce to take back home, and our stomachs with fish and chips
and ice cream (Botanical Atelier was a lovely little shop of
knick-knacks if it’s recommendations you’re after).

On another,
we donned our metaphorical tourist hats and ventured to the Eden
Project. Our favourite was the Rainforest Biome and the plant store just
before the exit.

These two pollinator-pleasers made it home with us.

A
comment on East Looe. The mist and drizzle had descended upon our
arrival and we were en route to a dinner reservation so didn’t stay
long. It’s antiquated charm, pretty hillside vistas and several fish
bars serving their fresh daily catch may yet lure us back still, another
time.

Circa-Exeter

I’ll also give mention to Circa, Exeter, which we tried
as a pitstop on the drive home. A sound example of good modern-British
fare. I had an aubergine gnocci dish with seasonal greens.

Well thank you for being good to use Cornwall. À bientôt.
